Voice improvement course

Regulations

1) Description
This course is oriented towards Italian and foreign professional singers, voice students that demonstrate proof of enrollment in a public (Conservatory, Licei Musicali Pareggiati) or private school, and graduated professionals in Voice and Vocal Chamber Music in any age range and vocal range that wish to improve their knowledge of the operatic repertoire.

2) Admission
Students that successfully pass an audition on the first day will be admitted as active students. All other students will be admitted as auditors. In both cases, the inscription fee cannot be refund.
Those who would like to attend the lessons as listeners will need to submit an admission request as auditor.

For the audition the singers must present a program that includes three opera arias, preferably from different styles and musical periods, in different languages and original keys. At least one of the three will be sung at the audition.
The course will accept a maximum of 12 (twelve) applicants as active students.

3) Dates and location
The course will be held from the 11th to the 18th of July 2009 in Fratte Rosa (Pesaro-Urbino) in the Sala Consigliare of the Comune (City Hall) and other places defined by the organization.
The admission audition will occur on Saturday, the 11th of July, 2009, at 15:00 at the Sala Consigliare.

There will be two rooms with keyboards where the students will have the opportunity to work privately. The schedules could endure variations if necessary.

5) Program

Íride Martínez
The repertoire proposed by the students will be worked under the point of view of the interpretative technique, the aesthetic of the vocal technique, and the problematic vowels of every participant.

Siegmund Weinmeister
The repertoire proposed by the students or recommended by the instructors will be carefully worked from a musical point of view, paying special attention to style.

6) Final recital and diplomas
Active students will participate in the Final Recital of the course on Saturday, 18 July. The program of the recital will be based on the repertoire worked during the course and will be decided by the instructors. At the end of the course the students will receive a participation certificate.

7) Language
The official language of the course is Italian, but the classes may also be taught in German, English and/or Spanish if necessary.

8) Registration

Included with the registration must be enclosed a copy of the registration fee deposit, and must include the receipt from the post office.

Registrations without the deposit receipt of the registration fee will not be accepted.

9) Costs and payment

Registration fee:
The € 50 registration fee must be paid with the entry of the registration forms.

Active students’ fee:

The € 250 fee must be paid in cash on the first day of the course.

Auditor’s fee:

The € 50 fee must be paid in cash on the first day of the course.

All-inclusive Plan (Registration fee and housing):
The Administrative Office offers a limited number of seats that includes accommodation at families, food in a restaurant and registration fee, throughout the course, for a price of € 600.
The possibility of accessing the All-Inclusive Plan will be distributed on the first come-first served basis.

10) Transportation and tourist information
There will be a shuttle bus available for transportation to the course. For this service, please contact the Administrative Office to request travel schedules.

The Administrative Office can provide information on facilities (food and housing) of Fratte Rosa and the surrounding areas.
